Nicofan I was looking to see if the photo thread had new posts and it didnt' and I thought "no new pics of Nico even from Wimbley????-now I know why!!!)

Too bad Nico is out already-he looks sooooo good in white! Is it just me or does Puke Boy look a bit like a turkey with his long neck and all....(yeah, I'm being catty now! ) Nico deserved to win cause he looks better out there!

I don't know why the Chilean press insists on putting Nico and Fernando into some type of competition. They are both great - enjoy them both!

But yeay for 209 victories for whatever the reason they're highlighting it.

I don't think so - I only read the headlines cuz I'm tired and didn't feel like trying to figure out the Spanish.

The headline says that Nico is now equal to Fernando in total wins - 209.

El número dos de Chile se mostró muy satisfecho con su victoria sobre el español Carlos Moyá y señaló que su buen momento y mayor experiencia le dan grandes opciones de vencer a Rubén Ramírez Hidalgo.
La voz de Nicolás Massú (37º) en el diálogo con Al Aire Libre en Cooperativa reveló una enorme satisfacción tras el triunfo sobre el español Carlos Moyá (41º), que le valió el paso a las semifinales del torneo de Amersfoort.

El viañmarino consideró que éste fue el mejor de los tres partidos que ha jugado durante la semana en la arcilla holandesa, especialmente por la categoría del rival.

"Había jugado con él en Buenos Aires (en febrero), un partido larguísimo, donde había perdido 7-6 el tercero, pero la verdad es que hoy (viernes) jugué muy bien, estoy muy contento. Subí el nivel respecto de los otros dos partidos, ganarle a él es súper difícil y estoy contento de estar en semifinales nuevamente", señaló Massú en alusión a que por tercera vez se mete a la ronda de los cuatro mejores.

Massú se mostró optimista con lo que viene en la temporada, pues defiende pocos puntos de aquí en adelante.

"No defiendo casi nada, si se saca la cuenta sólo tengo las semifinales de Kitzbühel y octavos del US Open, después se acaba y no defiendo ni siquiera una segunda ronda. En estos momentos me queda defender 40 puntos, la diferencia de la semis y si sigo ganando acá la superaría, después me queda sólo cuarta ronda del US Open que es bastante difícil, pero después nada más", indicó.

"Creo que el año ha sido muy positivo, podría haber sido mucho mejor si en los torneos grandes hubiese jugado mejor, pero lamentablemente no jugué tan bien y tuve mala suerte en los cuadros. Pero estoy bien, salí por ahí en el ATP como el jugador que más partidos ha ganado en arcilla y eso me deja muy feliz", agregó.

El adversario del campeón olímpico por el paso a la final de Amersfoort será el español Rubén Ramírez Hidalgo (62º), un jugador que a su juicio ha crecido bastante, pero que de todas maneras confía en derrotar.

"Hoy lo vi jugar, está muy bien, sólido, como todos los españoles corre mucho y está pasando por el mejor momento de su carrera. No es el mismo jugador que hace dos años atrás, pero yo estoy jugando bien, la cancha está rápida, la pelota está volando mucho y creo que quizás tengo más tiros ganadores y eso es importante en una semifinal y sobre todo tengo la experiencia de haber jugado ya varias semifinales", analizó Massú.

El duelo con el hispano será a las 06:00 horas (10:00 GMT) de este sábado. (Cooperativa.cl)
