I still remember that supossed best match between the both of them! ... it was such a nightmare Gaby was still around that's why Nicolas won, great match, I also remember that some of the chileans around here were there

It's really a shame that they have to face each other, it's even worse for Nicolas of course

yeah, expected result. Nico had a few moments-perhaps if he had prepared for the USO the results may have been different because I didn't think Fernando looked that sharp either today. Oh well, as always, if only.....

El sorteo dictaminó que el Vampiro se vea las caras ante Daniel Muñoz de la Nava, con quien no registra duelos previos, por la primera ronda del certamen.

Nicolás Massú golpea la bola. BUENOS AIRES, septiembre 26.- Un favorable sorteo tuvo Nicolás Massú (96°) en el Challenger de Buenos Aires, Argentina.
El Vampiro chocará en la primera ronda ante el español Daniel Muñoz de la Nava, actual 196° del mundo.

Será un duelo inédito el que animen el chileno junto al hispano en la arcilla trasandina, ya que nunca se han enfrentado en cotejos del circuito profesional.

De avanzar el criollo se medirá en segunda ronda de la competencia con el ganador de la llave entre el brasileño Julio Silva (160°) y un jugador proveniente de la qualy.

Massú abandona en su debut del challenger de Buenos Aires

SANTIAGO.- Nicolás Massú (91°) parecía volver a retomar parte del nivel que lo había metido alguna vez como "top ten" del tenis.

El chileno, tras su gran actuación en Copa Davis jugando por Chile ante Austria, tenía la opción de ratificar ahora en Argentina lo bueno mostrado en la Medialuna de Rancagua.

Debutaba en el challenger de Buenos Aires, un circuito conocido para el viñamarino, quien fue campeón alguna vez del torneo ATP de la capital argentina.

Este martes tenía su estreno el nacional ante el español Daniel Muñoz de la Nava. Entró a la cancha, pero debió retirarse por problemas físicos, cuando se jugaba el segundo set.

De todas maneras, el europeo tenía por las cuerdas al chileno. En la primera manga De la Nava se impuso fácil por 6-3.

En el segundo parcial el hispano estaba otra vez arriba 2-1, con un quiebre a su favor, cuando Massú abandonó y le entregó el duelo a su rival.

Not good news for Nico. He had to retire. hope its not too serious. This translation is just not that good....

Problemas que arrastra desde Copa Davis apuraron retiro de Massú en Argentina

SANTIAGO.- Nicolás Massú (91°) se retiró este martes en su debut en el challenger de Buenos Aires.

El chileno jugaba el segundo set, había perdido ya el primero, cuando decidió abandonar y dejar la cancha ante el español Daniel Muñoz de la Nava.

El viñamarino explicó lo que ocurrió en Argentina. "No me logré recuperar después de la Davis, pensé que me iba a recuperar, pero no pude", dijo a radio Cooperativa.

"Estuve parado desde que terminó la Davis, iba a probar y no estaba bien. Decidí parar antes de una lesión mayor, preferí guardarme cinco días", agregó.

"Esto siempre pasa después de una Copa Davis. Terminé con problemas a la cadera y al cuádriceps derecho, pero son problemas musculares no más", dijo.

Massú volvería a jugar la próxima semana en Montevideo, donde el año pasado fue finalista.

Nicolas will be playing his first round match tomorrow in Uruguay. He'll be facing Joao Sauza on the last turn on center court, not before 8pm Uruguay time
