Down Under Dance: Looking For A Win At The 2009 Oz Open!

Well not expecting much here, but at least Nico has been invited to a Grand Slam dance again without having to qualify.

Just hoping for one win, but not really expecting it. I would say it depends on the draw, but Nico has lost to players far lower than him in rankings so really it depends on whether he really wants the win or not.

And forget about "Vamos Nico" at the end of each post. I have a new ending. "Find a freaking coach and get your warrior back on!!"

NicoFan I'll type what you said at the end of each post but it's too long

well you're right, it'll depend on the draw but hopefully we could have at least one win

Nicofan! I like the sentiment, but Kid is right, too long

Yeah, I'm not expecting much either. I think it depends more on his frame of mind than the actual draw-not that that's not important obvioulsy, but its his head that will be more important IMO.

Good luck on both counts Nico! and I hope your inner warrior wil be in Australia with you

Yes, it is a bit long, but if it would really do something, might be worth it. Sadly, we could get God Herself to tell Nico to get a real coach, and he would ignore Her.

Scared but excited to see the draw tomorrow. Not only for Nico, but for the rest of my favorites.

It's over before it begins.

Nico got Nico Almagro. I think Nico has the talent to beat Almagro on hardcourts, but Nico doesn't have the belief.

Adios to Melbourne!

Yes, it could be worse.

Second round doesn't look bad at all. It's just a matter of getting there.

Fernando's match is the only interesting first round matchup. Hewitt will make it a tough match, but I have no doubt that Fernando will win ...

Re: Down Under Dance: Looking For A Win At The 2009 Oz Open!

It never fails. at least we expect the draw to suck. Nico can beat Almagro but it would have been nice to get a much lower ranked player. Nico must get his inner warrior on to be successful.

Hewitt will be tough, but Fernando has beat him before and he can/must do it again.

Sadly, Nico's inner warrior left the building long ago.
