Re: The GonzoHolics Thread

Yes that’s an old pic and I actually prefer his hair a bit longer like he has it now but if he would decide to cut it shorter again it wouldn’t change anything for me

Actually what Fergie posted about the hair is from a great and funny interview with him which was in a Chilean newspaper today. Here’s the internet translation which is not that good, but I hope you can get the sense out of it. The original interview in Spanish is posted in his thread in the Español forum.

Fernando González responds without complexes and without modesties to its pass by Santiago

Feña: “I am complicated with my baldness”

The Olympic medalist says that he would change for nothing its preseas of Athens, he assures that he impressed the physical state of the President Lakes and he recognizes that has panic to grow fat as other former tennis players.

It has just finished the practice in the Palestinian Stadium, in its cell one listens itself the national hymn and its former technician, Frameworks Colignon, itself about with children of its academy in search of autographs. “¿And they coach these huevones? ”, question Fernando González pretending roughness. To the boys the same thing gives them. They have al idol in front, al same that last week complicated to Roger Federer in Montecarlo. González does not change. It attends to all, despite that the lunch of its mom expects him, Patrician Ciuffardi, in the house of La Reina, that is better than the restaurants that visits in the circuit. Therefore each time returns home that is able. Although be for a pair during the day. Although be al another side of the world.

The Bomber is complies with simple things and laughs when recalls the childhood. “At the age of 11, the Nico (Massú) was very bad. I do not know how many, but were more the times that I gained him. I remember that in that epoch the aunt Sonia already was thus, he emphasized and had the same sympathy. Later we travel along with Nico and I do not remember to have fought. If we liked the same mine? That I know, never”.

Before that, Fernando was a fat boy. “Always I trusted in growing fast, it saved me”, explains, recognizing that the appetite is its enemy and that maintains a strict diet. “All they bother me, they tell me that I am going to be like Gabriel Silberstein (loose a laughter). When withdraw me, I am going to continue in the gymnasium or in a league of the soccer”.

He seems that he assumes with dignity the baldness.

-To where he is able. I am complicated with the theme of the baldness. My mom buys me things so that he throw me, but they are lost me in the trips. From here to that be peeled they should invent something ¿not?

Fernando González assures that the action of Athens marked it. What was initially an important tournament, finished being the passport to the immortality.

-Sincerely, ¿you have remained thinking some night that the medal of gold of Massú in singles could be its?

-There would be me delighted to gain it, but so much the one cost me that have, that I value it equal. Just before playing the last party, I saw a lady that removed bronze in horseback riding and that cried touched. There I realized that was also valuable the bronze.

-¿You would change your Olympic medals by being number one of the world?

-Not. I want to be number one of the world with my medals in the hand.

González is a man of family, but not yet he wants to form an own one. “He I would love to have a child and that myself to see to play, but is a lot of responsibility. When it have him, I want to give him all the time that deserves”.

-¿It is just the fame of womanizing that drag the tennis players?

-Also the journalists have fame of womanizing.

-¿It is certain that Carlos Moyá baptized you as the Brad Pitt of the tennis and that a fanatic confused you with the actor Benicio of the Bull?

-Moyá yes that is pintoso. I saw him in a magazine where also he appeared Brad Pitt and he bothered me. He is taken photos in shorts and he promotes creams. Him another, yes. Once in a chat a galla told me Benicio of the Bull, but not bit to that actor.

-¿Which is the most beautiful tennis player of the circuit?

-Argentina Gisela Dulko.

-¿Does not it believe that in the commercial one of the wine was seen like a small goat? -

(Laughs) and that that was with beard.

-¿What is the worse thing than you has passed in the turmoils?

-The pulls, but you do not they damage. At times the arms they take you and despair you. In Talcahuano, a girl to the court was put, he embraced me and me did not give me free.

-¿When do they be going to pay the bet to be risen to sing to a micro with the team of Cup Davis?

-One must do it. We have not been all together. Myself hope that the Nico (Massú) wrinkle not. I have to present them and to collect the currencies. Garcia touches the guitar and sings.

-¿To who would you bombard with row?

-To (Roger) Federer. Of the next one is not saved.

-By the way of bombardments, ¿which is your greater velocity of service?

-Was in Moscow: 225 kilometers per hour. Always I look at the scoreboard of velocity, always.

-¿What triumph you enjoyed more: above par Sampras or on Andre Agassi?

-They were different. With Sampras went in ascent and with Agassi was a partidazo.

-Any account anecdote of the President Ricardo Lagos in the double one of the Teletón. They dressed in the same side room?

-Not, he dressed in another. I gave him one of my racquets and his good physical state he impressed me. Ran a lot.

-¿Which is the best blow of Lagos?

-The right crusader, far away.

-¿You are recorded in the electoral registrations?

-Not.

-¿With whom you would play double mixed: with Bachelet or Alvear?

-Good question.. With the Bachelet.

-¿Why do you believe that the call Family of the Tennis was opposed to the nationalization of Horacio of the Rock?

-Because to all something is removing them.

-¿Who of all the ones that signed the letter against your coach Argentine did not have moral authority to do it?

-All they have the right to be in disagreement.

-It bothers to You that the Flea is so mediatic and occurs as much importance as technician?

- It is thus. Each one is as it is. If it makes well his work, perfect.

- You remember that you said to him to Of the Rock that you were going to him to burn the Argentine passport so that they really gave one him. What you think now, when still the Chilean citizenship identification document does not arrive to him?

- I passed a pair of scares in Buenos Aires through that joke. A taxi driver asked to me if I were the Chilean tennis player who had said that with a bad face that nor I tell you. In the gymnasium of the club he had, in addition, a cartoon mine with a passport.

BTW Fergie, is James a new addition to your signature or have I just overlooked him up to now? It’s nice to see you over at James’ forum as well. He’s my second favourite player and I only root against him when he plays Fernando and that happened already twice this year .....I hate it when they play each other.
