Israeli players with terrible stats on clay.
Should be a walk in the park for Slovenia.

Should be easy win for SLO, but Kavcic has been injured and not playing for a while.
POR needs the win to face ISR, at home, in September, so...
GO SLO!

Sela beat Zemlja in outdoor clay! Big oportunity lost for slovenia and almost sure drop in group 2 for Portugal, who has to play away in Russia

Zemlja was injured, I don't understand the Slovenian captain, who decided to let Zemlja play after 4 hours in the doubles rubber. But thanks

Re: Europe/Africa Group I 2nd Round: Israel at Slovenia (Apr 04-06, 2014)

Wow. Another great win for Israel's Davis Cup team. Undoubtedly, the greatest team Israel has ever had in ANY sport.
Slovenian players may have come to the tie in not the best of shapes, but Israelis and clay... they go so terribly together, I would have thought they could lose against cones.
Very important too... a loss would have meant an away tie in Portugal (probably on clay again) and then away at Russia for survival. I don't think Israel could have handled that. Then again, with this team, who knows... they have been pulling off miracles for almost a decade now.
