Yes i don't understand that decision either. It's true that after the tournament in Brisbane Copil had some disappointing loses but even so playing with Ungur instead of Copil on hard indoors makes no sense whatsoever

Does it make sense now? Ungur is atm at least one class above Copil quality wise, and Marius is not in a great form either.
Also you have to be naive to believe Hanescu will play doubles tommorrow, I have no doubts that the pair will be Copil / Tecău.
