Sebastian Prieto is a doubles specialist.

Mahut and Benneteau received WC. This pair is great! Better than many doubles specialist teams... (if you don't consider Nicolas and Julien as doubles specialist...).

Re: Doubles Draw

All the contenders for the last 3 spots in the MC are in the bottom half. That means Paes & Zimonjic definitely qualify, because there's no way 2 players behind them will get to the final...
If Llodra & Santoro win the final at Lyon they will also qualify.
If not, they can be eliminated if Arthurs & Hanley get to the semi and either Erlich/Ram reach the final or Aspelin/Perry win the title.
Effectively, the race is down to just one spot between A&H, E&R and A&P. If A&H lose in the 1st round, E&R should get to the semi to overtake them or A&P need to reach the final. If A&H get to the QF or semi, E&R must reach the final.

PAW Results
Winner: 2006 - Acapulco, Portschach, 2005 - Marseille, Valencia, Bastad, Paris Bercy, 2004 - Kitzbuhel
Runner-up: 2005 - Doha, Estoril, 2004 - Indian Wells, Hamburg, Halle, Paris Bercy
Semifinal: 2004 - Houston, Casablanca, Nottingham, Stuttgart, Cincinnati

If you about that, the new entry system next year will make you , or rather
In the current system, the top 10 pairs of double specialists get into Madrid and Paris masters. Next year, any pair of top-20 singles players will get in at their expense.

Last year they beat the Bryans in the first round at Bercy. That match was very exciting! I'm looking forward to their matches.

Not to mention that they also beat the Bryans that same year at the USO...and at the USO this year, that same "shit" doubles team to which you refer beat the specialists Cermak and Freidl as well as specialists Arthurs and Hanley. They are most deserved of a WC in Bercy!

Understandable that you are upset about the doubles changes, as we all are....but that comment was just unsubstantiated, AE.

I saw some of their matches in US Open 04 and 05. It's a great team. If they don't have success in singles, they can try to play more doubles.

Re: Doubles Draw

I understand Seb Prieto is a specialist, but not particularly strong one at that? Unless perhaps it is a clay event.
I appreciate the comment was a little (!) harsh, apologies. Mahut & Benneteau are a WC here, yes - but again, comparatively, should they be the team getting it to such an event, purely because of their nationality.

Jim Thomas - Max Mirnyi - Jordan Kerr - Rohan Bopanna - Andy Roddick - Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi - Ilia Bozoljac - Chris Haggard - Jan-Michael Gambill - Donald Young - Nathan Healey - Lleyton Hewitt - Jamie Murray - Olivier Rochus - James Blake - Vince Spadea - Tim Henman - John Isner - Travis Parrott - Paul Goldstein - Tim Henman - Wes Moodie - Arnaud Clement - Michael Russell - Jeff Coetzee
