Isn't this the best tournament in the world?

Last night's amazing matches proved once again that the US Open is the best tournament in the world. The most beautiful, tensed matches in the whole year are played here. Australian Open is too early in the year, Roland Garros is on clay and clay is generally boring, and Wimbledon is on grass and grass is too fast. There's nothing like the US Open. Anyone agrees?

This year has bee truly amazing, but this hasnt happened the past years.
I remember 2 years ago to be a boring tournament, maybe because it was affected by heavy rains.
I still prefer Rolang Garros

Re: Isn't this the best tournament in the world?

i like to see many guys jumping out to face the seeded and sometimes beat them

maybe we call them "black horse" and the matches which seems so easy or tough according to the score, but in fact the procedures are so funny and being hung up so long, you know, some luck, some mental, some afraid, some surprise and some fun

no doubt this year's USO is so amazing

whether to be the most, lets wait to see and everybody would have his own feeling

for me, no marat in, still a bit far

Re: Isn't this the best tournament in the world?

um, in a word...no

i think aus open and roland garros are far more interesting. they always have great matches.

and i wouldn't call clay boring either.

No.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I don't mean to sound ignorant but I was just wondering why the US open play a tiebreak in the fifth set when no other slam does it. My family and I have been agonising over it all tournament.

I think it has to do with TV scheduling and making sure matches can't last too long and overrun into other programmes Sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

And as for the thread question - no - sorry - Roland Garros is the best in my opinion!!
