Re: I'm going to this tournament.

Just found out today that my professor (who I work for) will be attending a conference there during the tournament week and I might be able to tag-along

Re: I'm going to this tournament.

I will be going as well! Montreal is a great city- about a six hour drive house to hotel!!
And my family will be there with me but have little intention of coming to the tennis matches! I have tickets for Sunday through Wednesday! So if anyone wants to meet up let me know!

The great thing about democracy is that it gives every voter a chance to do something stupid.

Re: I'm going to this tournament.

I'm also looking to go. But I have a stupid question. Do you need to speak French there or do most people speak English? Because though I can do a smattering of Spanish ( which is good since my faves are all Spanish speakers) I know zero French.

And those of you who are definitely going...where specifically are you staying if you are staying in a hotel? I am flying blind here and will appreciate any suggestions.

Unless you run into the whore at the metro booth like I did. Then you'll get a lecture in rapid French that you don't understand, all because the stupid whore didn't pay attention when you showed her your ticket the first time.

Thankfully, most people aren't like her. I hope she's gotten hit by a train since I was there last.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Yes, Session tickets. And unless you HAVE to see a player that is going to be on center court up close, don't bother getting sweet centre court tickets. You can watch the match on the wide screen in the park or watch from the third level and it's not that bad. You'll save money that way. If money isn't an issue and you HAVE to see Roddick, Federer, Agassi, etc. up close, then go ahead and splurge for the second level, if there are any still available.

Awesome. Good info. Gracias. Unless Tommy has to play Roddick in like the 2nd round in every hard court tournament again this summer, that should be lovely.
