Smile Citi Open-Washington, D.C. Tommy Back in the U.S. 2012

This Tournament won't have a strong field since players will be in London. I hope Tommy feels well and can pick up some more points here

Yes, his ranking is now #35 and he won few points during this period last year. If he can stay healthy and win some rounds, maybe he can be seeded at the US Open.

Re: Citi Open-Washington, D.C. Tommy Back in the U.S. 2012

Tommy wins 6-1 6-2. Very easy, with so little effort. Kamke was on fire with so many UE's. Exactly what needed to try and save some energy prior to the semi final

Re: Citi Open-Washington, D.C. Tommy Back in the U.S. 2012

A bad 44 % 1st serves in, six double faults - yet still, no difficulty whatsoever. Quite impressive, though Kamke was horrible. Definitely perfect for his body as the difficult tasks are coming now, with most probably Fish in the seminfinal, who is much more of a task than Russell, Mayer and Kamke. But the way Tommy has been playing lately, there is no one in the draw he has to fear and there is a realistic chance to even win the title in this tournament.

Meanwhile, Tommy got an entry into the Masters tournament in Toronto as an alternative.
