Is 2008 Tommy's last year?

Do you guys think he will retire at the end of 2008? It seems a possibility to me, because of all of the injuries, his age and the Olympics. I definitely think that 2008 will be Tommy's last chance to win a Grand Slam, or win any other big titles.

But I would love to be proved wrong.

What do you guys think?

Re: Is 2008 Tommy's last year?

He said lately (during the DC) he wants to play 3-4 more years and his goal still is to win a big title.

It's very possible but he can't retire in 2008 Can't be the end of his career yet. He still has many goals like to win a grand slam, be number 1, and win the Masters Cup! Hope he will play more 4 years indeed I'd like to see more of Tommy and his tennis as well

Miss you Marat Safin.

He should retire in 2010.

Re: Is 2008 Tommy's last year?

I would love to see Tommy play until the end of 2011 (that's four years...) but I have a feeling that if Tommy doesn't have a good 2008, injury and performance wise, he might call it quits...

But of course I would love to see him compete for four more years.

Re: Is 2008 Tommy's last year?

Well a piece of information that did come out in at least one of those Davis Cup Tie stories was the statement that Tommy had said this year was going to be his last year playing Davis Cup. How true that is I don't know
