You can bring anything to the UK mate within reason, but they won't be much use in Nottingham I don't think. You'll be able to use them in London but I reckon you should get some changed into the good old British pounds for the tennis

Like the others said, you won't be able to use them anywhere outside of London, and in London the exchange rate will be bad - so stick to good old £££££. Another tip - if you have to change money - don't use the Hotel facilities or the "Bureau de Change" outlets in town - you'll get ripped off - go to a High Street bank or a reputable Travel Agents (like Thomas Cook) instead.
