Roland GARROS

kinda early but I'm TOOOOOO excited to be able to resist the temptation of posting something about my favorite grand slam where Juanqui is absolutely the crowned king!!!!

I suck at TT so there's no reason to brag with my 1st round exits :retard:
And I adore Radiohead

With JC crashing out at Monte Carlo and then pulling out of Roma and Hamburg, I am very worried that he may not be able to defend his RG title. Moya...Coria...a few dangerous floaters around....Juanqui will have his work cut out for him.
Right now, Juanqui needs confidence . Maybe he'll defend his title after all! It's FERRERO remember?! lol .

He needs more than confident, he needs to be healthy first. He has a cast on his right wrist and has trouble breathing due to the rib injury. If he heals in time for French Open, he still has no time left for training. By the time French Open begins, counting back to Monte Carlo he would have missed action for 5 weeks.

I'm just trying to be realistic, but to expect him to defend the title is too much. He'll be lucky to just survive a few rounds.

Get well soon, poor guy.

Yeah, I know you're right, he might be not recovered yet then... Just don't wanna think about that option....
But I disagree that he'll be lucky if he survived a few rounds. RG is very important to him, so I think he'll only play if he's completely recovered... Besides, Ferrero is a clay specialist (at least a lot of people say so). So I think we have to be more confident! So does Juanqui...

Re: Roland GARROS

There is an article about him that talks about his condition.

"I have a year with a lot of physical problems, but I am recovering enough from the last one and hope to train in the coming week to be enough for Roland Garros".

"All the season I am racing against the clock, because when it seems that whenever I am to a point to get over a problem, another new one comes up. I am use to it, players always play with some type of pain. I hope to get to Paris completely well but if not I'll just have to deal with it". He had also ask the organizer in Roland Garros to let him play a day later so he has a day more to get well and ready, which is tuesday instead of monday.

"the wrist problem is better than the ribs problem which is more painful. But they have said to me that I must endure the pain and continue training ", when explained on the state of his ailments.

Re: Roland GARROS

Good that he's upbeat. Now, let's hope for a good draw for him to get by the first few rounds. And for the Roland Garros organizers, they better let him play on tuesday. Is there some kind of tradition for when the defending champion play? I don't remember which one slam has the defending champion play the first match of the tournament.

Re: Roland GARROS

Wimbledon tradition is that the current defending champ plays first day...not sure bout RG though...I hope too that the organisers will allow him to play on Tues.

GO JUANQUI!!!
