Ooooh I don't like the way Juanqui's match stopped. 40-40 on his serve is very dangerous because it's not easy to serve right after a rain delay. How can I go to bed now, I'll worry myself sick.

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

The tennis gods are toying with us. One completed match, ten delayed for rain.

I figured the remnants of that storm would catch up with them.

Yes, Layla, stay up and worry with the rest of us.

I'm scared, this is not good

You're scared too? I thought I was the only one. If Juanqui could just pull through this match. Pretty please.

About the concert. This band Firewater is incredible. It's an alternative rock band but they base thier songs on traditional dance rhythms such as waltz or rhumba. They have a violinist and a whacko keyboard player who likes the sound of hapsicord (I'm not sure that's the right word). But basically they're just wailing. And they have a charismatic singer/guitar player. I really had a lot of fun.

Are you kidding me? In matches like this I practically have stress attacks every set. The two haven't played professionally but Gonzo has whipped Ferrero on clay, in juniors. He's the one who took the 98 RG juniors crown from Ferrero.

But perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned that.

It's ok, I already read it in the other thread. I read everything.

But this isn't the juniors anymore. Ferrero can definitely win this one.

Weather Forecast

Play may resume again tonight, but there's another rainstorm headed right for NY. It may resume after that as well, but I would hope the tournament officials wouldn't push it.

I agree, but we all know how rain delays rattle him. Not cool, not cool at all.

Yes they do, don't they. I have this theory (another one ) that that RG final might have been different had it not rained for half an hour after the first few games. Because I remember he started really well, very aggressive and after the rain delay well...

But I really believe his mental outlook has changed recently, so maybe it won't bother him this time. I almost hope this match continues tomorrow, than I'll be able to follow it. It's 1:30 am here.

I absolutely agree that the rain was the straw that broke the camel's back during the RG final. It rained in nearly all of his matches, I think the frustration just built . . .

I hope that he's over that hump, and not angry that he got put on an outside court after being scheduled for a show court. No news about the rain delay just yet, but there are 3 more potential hours of play . . . .

Awesome Andy LMAO I didn't know he has a 10-1 record against the Spanish players. No wonder I hate him so much. Well, hate is such a strong word, usually reserved for Younes j/k. Dislike then.

That pre-match analysis, by the way, is complete crap, but I thought we'd all get a kick out of it anyway.

On a lighter note, he came out firing in Monte Carlo after the rain delay during his match against Grosjean. He won the final set to love and he was in serious trouble before.
