Probably because of his shoulder. I don't know.

Well, they haven't shown any of Kimmy's matches on Eurosport either and they wouldn't have shown this one it it wasn't raining.

Would you believe that people are writing to Eurosport and accusing them of being racist for not showing Williams' matches. The commentator was in total disbelief. He said they were so short there wasn't much point in showing them. I mean who would want to see their early round matches anyway. Snooze.

But I thought this shit only happens in America, not in Europe. I guess diehard Williams fans are the same everywhere, same arguments. Of course Eurosport can't show all the matches. If they show Safin/Kiefer match for instance, it lasted 4 1/2 hours. Unfortunately whatever is going on in the meantime will not be aired. How hard is that to understand? But no, must be racism. And that regardless of the fact that Eurosport shows wta matches all the time during the year and only rarely shows atp. Grrrrrr.

I will never understand why people waste their time using the 'racist' label on things that aren't even racist

Of all the things in the world that ARE racist, why not focus on that - as opposed to being such freaking idiots

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

But Andy is the favourite for that match, for sure.

I lack direction.

I posted the weather report in the US Open forum, it's not looking too good. There's a huge rainstorm headed right for the island

Which sucks ass, because I was looking forward to finally being able to see Juan Carlos on TV!! He's scheduled to play on the Grandstand court, and there's no one "bigger" scheduled during his time.

Hi Rebecca!

They only showed their practice session for a few seconds, but enough to get my heart going.

Have you come to give us your report?

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Eeeeeeeeeeevryting. Did you have a good time. Did you see his second match with normal hair. Did his freakish hair look better in person than on the telly. Did you have problems with security? See any players in person? Taken great pics? Your favorite matches/moments...

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Bad news, weather has suspended play indefinitely.

Though I wonder what will happen if no one plays today, how that will affect the schedule.

Well I'll tell you the matches I saw, then tell details of stuff

I only went the first two days though

Day One:

I wanted to see Anna, so I sat through Norman and Costa, then Kafelnikov and Sanguinetti (sp?) - all that for an awful match Anna played like crap, and Widjaja kicked her butt :sigh:

Costa-NOrman just about put me to sleep Good lord it was terrible!!!! I even wrote in my note book "for the love of god, make it stop!!!"

After those matches, we wandered around to see the premisis Then we saw some of Serena-Corina, and Agassi-Ginepri.

Then we left, we were tired

Day Two

At various points we saw Daniela, the Williams sisters, Dokic, Lindsay, and Danilidou (as she was leaving), on the practice courts.

I yelled at my freind "wait, I want to get a pic of Venus before we leave" and people laughed at me I guess I was loud

There was an autograph session with Justine Henin at 2pm at the Sanex booth, so we went there around quarter too, and I got my hat signed. She seemed freindly

The first match we saw was Mark P and Schalken - good match untill Mark got hurt I don't even want to talk about that I was so bummed - my freind didn't get what the big deal was either... I tried to explain that if he has one more surgery he's done likely, but meh. It looks like he won't need that thank god.

Then we saw Hingis-Irvin, which turned out to be a match Hingis should have won in two I thought, but she dipped a bit. She's still not close to where she was though. She wasn't playing those great angles or thinking her way through points as much, just banging from the baseline

Then Monica was up next, i'm sorry i don't remember her opponent - G---- something? I couldnt' pronounce it, that is why I forget it.

After that we watched some of Guga's warmup, then went to the grandstand where i sat for half an hour before Ferrero's match.

I was about a foot beside his change over chair, and two rows back

Yum yum - rr.. I mean, good match.

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

Oh yes, and his hair...

Picture don't quite catch how uneven it was lol - really blotchy.

It was worse in person lol.

He and Arthurs came out, and I could see them in the distance. They both had the same outfit so i couldnt' see which was which at that point (they were not qutie out yet) - and it looked like he either had cut off his beautiful messy hair, or fell into bleach - i wasn't sure which was worse

Then he came out, and i saw it was the latter :P

I lack direction.

Chocking makes me sad.

We are all very jealous. Did you hear anything about why he dyed his hair? No one in the American media thought it worthy of reporting

Layla watched the match on TV, and said he was very animated on court. Could you tell a difference from his normal style of play?
