Is he the public enemy too? Ya, he deserved it for beating Juanqui. I was cheering for Ferreira.

Nite nite.

Moya

I never ever expected him to lose against GAMBILL of all people. How could you Moya!!!

But thank goodness Costa is out. For a while it looked certain that he was gonna win his match. Phew.

TH

Congratulations on joining the Special Peoples' Club! How does it feel?

Please don't be sad about my picnic. We can still have long conversations, either here or there. We just have to be online at the same time. Group hug?

Morning all

It feels . . . like I'm a HUGE dork who spends way too much time online . . . but other than that, I feel powerful, hahaha!

LOL, the being onling thing is what's going to kill me I'm going to be watching the Guga/Safin match this afternoon (I swallowed my angst and decided I'd like to see it), otherwise I'd be on the board from noon my time on.

And believe it or not, Moya has never beaten Gambill. They've played like 4 times now!

Morning!

Here's some coffee for you.

What do you mean? Moya defeated Gambill all 3 times they met. I don't believe he lost. I can't believe it. It's incomprehensible.

Why the angst regarding the Safin/Guga match? Who are you rooting for anyway?

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Hi all! May I join to share my grief? Oh Moya Moya Moya, he's so out of sort last nite. They said the condition is just what he doesn't like. I was so praying for the rain to come to delay it so that he can play in the day time. Oh well.

I hope this won't become a big blow for him, his summer is going almost perfect, so pls don't let him be too discouraged.

Oops, you're right That's what I get for believing everything on the US Open website

A thousand apologies, Carlos!

Well, I now like to watch both of these players play (I've always loved Guga, but Safin is a relatively new watch-for-five-hours player) and I hate to see the match so early in the tournament. Both have tons of points to defend, and someone's going to get screwed in the end.

I think I'm going to root for Guga!! Because how could you not?

Henin is finally about to win her match. She's up 7-5, 5-1. Guga & Safin up next!

Well, she just won. Thank God.

Unfortunately, Juan Ignacio Chela & Michael Llodra are only in the second set of their match, and it looks like it's going to be a loooooong match. No Juanqui for me I guess

Well I obviously can, as I'll be cheering for Safin. I love Guga, he's a great guy and terrific player, but he's beaten Juanqui once too often at RG to be one of my fave faves.

Guga is always screwed in the draw. Poor guy, some force must be against him.

I love Guga even though he has had Juan Carlos's number in the past. Of course I never root against our boy when they play, but he's just too lovable in his other matches to cheer against.

At any rate, Guga and Safin are coming up next on court, so I'm going to go down to watch it. I'll take some notes for you guys!!

He lost the second set. It's the freaking curse of the second round. Get over it Juanqui!!!!!

He had that set in the palm of his hand at 4-1.

Btw, did you notice that he changed his hair back? Maybe that wasn't such a good decision after all.
