Yes, I understand your obsession. The accent is great, I admit. Colin Firth was so hilarious and so sexy in Bridget Jones. *sigh*
Also a great movie. Colin Firth might as well be God when it comes to English movies

Welcome baaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!

Yeah the smilies are hilarious but you could never be boring I'm afraid.

You came back just in time to join us in drooling over British movies and actors. I was going to say Victorian pieces, but then Jane Austen for instance isn't really Victorian. But Victorian sounds good to me.

No I haven't seen Victoria and Albert. Do you know who's in it?

Have you read both Bridget Jones books? In the second one Bridget does an interview with the "real" Colin Firth. It was so funny I was in tears. When Colin was asked about this potential problem in the sequel (the movie), he replied that he would just have to be played by someone like Russell Crowe lol.

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Hi TennisHack. Welcome back, have we talked before? Well, I'm very new, so maybe not. I mentioned to Layla that I think you guys are great writers. I like your impersonation of Pat and Cliff. Those two are big jokes. I wonder who's commentating in USA and CBS. Hopefully is Jim Courier. I used to hate him as a player but I like him as a commentator because he's fair and objective compare to the two. Though as long as they don't show him on camera too often.

Ya, I actually start liking Firth after watching Briggette Jones. Though I like the book better than the movie. Firth is so cool though, and tall.

Is the second book as good as the first? The first one is just too much fun. But then again, is just another fairy tale story. I mean, a woman lost one good looking man only to find that there's another even more gorgeous man waiting for her at the corner.
Like the movie "Someone like you", Ashley Judd and Hugh Jackman. Ashley got dumped by that guy (forgot his name) and guess what, Jackman is waiting. What a bargain to get Jackman as a replacement. Can I have him???

Okay, back to the Victorian period. I think I've heard of Victoria and Albert but haven't seen it. So they shows British TV on A&E, I should check that out. I usually just watch the major networks and sports.

Well, the second book is still very funny, but sometimes it's a bit over the top. And of course it's a fairy tale, but that's all right with me.

Jackman is cute but in that movie I wouldn't want him. I didn't like that movie. It was disappointing. To me it felt like it had no soul. The reason I wouldn't want Jackman is beacuse I didn't fall for that particular cliche of a sworn casanova who just needs the right woman to suddenly become monogamous. Sorry. I'm guess I'm just too much of a romantic. I don't believe in promiscuity. Also didn't like Ashley Judd's impersonation of Meg Ryan. Meg can do it so much better. I like Ashley but not in that movie.

I agree, that movie is a big disappointment. I don't particularly like Jackman's character but I like Jackman himself. Although his last movie (with Ryan, what's that name, oops, can't think of it) is even a bigger disaster. I like Ashley, she looks strong and of course, very beautiful.

I'm now trying to think what would be my all time fav romantic movie. Definitely not Titanic, sorry JC, I disagree with your movie taste. Hmmm, let me think!
