And Schalken wins set number 3 as well!!!

I really like this guy. It would be so great to see him in the semi-finals of the USO.

This set wasn't so spectacular though. And the wind is blowing quite hard.

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Hey Layla. How's it going?

It's awefully boring the days w/o JC and his tennis to talk about, don't you think?

I'm watching Sjeng too. I'm rooting for him cos I can't really forgive Gonzo for knocking JC off. But then, it makes me mad that Gonzo played so aweful, I mean, he could have play awefully when he played JC. Then, I would be watching JC right now facing Sjeng. Then ppl wonders, how come this guy beat JC, he's not even that good!! You know what I mean?

But looking ahead, I must say I do want Gonzo to win, in case Roddick beat Pete tonite, I think Gonzo has a better chance to overcome Roddick.

Then again, if Sjeng wins and went all the way to the final, man, I would love that. Cos that would be the worse nightmare for the Open and the TV. Hehehe!

Hi Vera!

It definitely isn't the same now that Juanqui is no longer around. But there's still some conversation left in us, don't you think?

Gonzalez is has a fantastic talent and power, so it's not surprising that he can beat great players. I think people will be mentioning his name a lot in the future. But he is very inconsistent and he kinda lost himself in the middle of this match. Unfortunately, he seems to have found himself again and Schalken is in serious trouble now. If Gonzo can keep this up, he can win.

You're right about Sjeng ruining the Open though. LMAO! The worst nightmare for certain Americans. But all the more joy for me.

Ya, Gonzo is just so powerful. I don't dislike him that much, just mad at him. He got broken back in the 4th, now he's lost it again, John just said. But they are on serve.

Personally, I don't mind Gonzo or Sjeng to go to final. I don't think I will be watching the final if it's all Americans. I mean, I can't keep my interest if I don't know who to root for. And I don't like any of the Americans left in the draw. But I will be watching if is Sjeng or Gonzo against Andre or Hewitt. Cos I know who I would ike to win.

I'm mad at him too. Especially right now. He just won the 4th set. Sjeng can really crumble under pressure in the deciding moments. He double faulted twice in the tie-breaker, yet he never double faulted the whole match. This is just too depressing. He was 5-4 up on his serve. If he only served out those two points, this would all be over, but he lost both points and now Gonzalez has more than a good chance to win after all.

Btw, I don't like any of the Americans left in the draw either. In fact, I only like James. This is strange because in some other sports my faves are often Americans. Oh well.

Gonzo won the fourth set?! DAMMIT! I was looking for Gasquet's result (he won again ) and saw that Sjeng was more or less in control of the match. He gave me hope that he would win the match, and now he's going to let me down. Grr.

Ya, it's too bad. Sjeng has quite a bad 5-set record. I still remembered those 17-15 game lost in Wimbly in the past. He just isn't looking good at the moment.

I like James too. I think the very pro-American tennis TV is making me dislike most of the American tennis players very much. Also, most of the time when I watch a big event, I just hope all the Americans face each other and lost in the 1st round. Because that's the only chance that I got to watch other players from the other nations. In the women side though is different because the best are all Americans so it's hard to not like any of them. So I do like Monica and Lindsey.

Oh, I like Chanda too. She's very skillful and tactical. Just a very smart overall player.

Oh of course, in the women's section my faves are Lindsay, Monica and Kimmy, so yes. But I don't think I would've liked Roddick even if he wasn't so overhyped. He's so obnoxious.

Roddick is exceptionally bad. I can understand his overhype. Apparently, the network and everyone in USTA knows they badly needed to have a player up there to get the Americans to watch tennis. It's extremely annoying but it's understandable. But Roddick is such a spoiled brag and he's getting more and more popularity and I think he believes that he must act this way so ppl will like him. It seems that the more he's being obnoxious, the crowd is more excited. That's what I don't understand. Anyway, lately, Roddick is really pissing me off so I just can't stop venting about him. I've been telling myself to just ignore him because like it or not, he will be around, he will behave like this, for a very long time.

Vera you have expressed my very thoughts about Andy. There's not much I can add to that. I have to make peace with the idea that he'll be a top 10 player even though it's hard. Andy-lovers believe we dislike him because we're jealous of his success. LMAO! How can you be jealous of such a twat. His success upsets me because I don't really want to see him around and if he keeps winning, I'm bound to.

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?
