Too bad Spain lost the doubles, but I'm hoping that they'll come through in both singles matches tomorrow

Re: Davis Cup...

Ferrero said after winning Madrid that if he won the year-end #1 ranking and the Davis Cup trophy, he wouldn't care much about Australia. Well, he didn't get either. Not only did he suck the last month of the year, he didn't win a single match in 6 tries. Will this lack of success at least keep him motivated for 2004 (Oz in particular)?

Ugh, thank god it's the off-season.

I really thought Juanqui could make it.... The fifth set just didn't go Juanqui's way. He looked as if he were about to cry in the fifth set.......Anyway, I hope he'll do better next year.... The good thing is that JUanqui has improved on grass, taking all his singles matches in DC to five sets ... Look forward to seeing him in Wimbledon next year!!

Re: Davis Cup...

another tattoo?> that's the one he's always had...well he's had for a while at least anyway isn't it...

it's funnhy coz as soon as that match finished i was upset but now i don't care as much...i just really really really really really really hope it doens't affect his mentality for 2004 as it did for paulo this year from last year's ... liz don't kill me....i'm not saying paulo's bad....

it was a really weird match though...really weird...like mark totally lost it in the third set...then sort of came back in the fourth...then there was this extended break between the fourth and fifth set in which mark went to the toilet, ferrero got his thigh massaged....and mark then got his shoulder massaged....

mark looked to be paining a lot when serving yet he still won the last set 6-0...gutsy

but i'm so proud of jc taking it to five...he could have given up but he didn't...good on you boy

"arnaud, you're moving as fast a rash!" "like a what?!?!"

hopelessly devoted to you....arnaud and juan carlos

Re: Davis Cup...

At least JC confirms coming to Oz next year... not only he didn't get no.1, he lost davis cup too. but JC did his best and i think he got a little too tired towards the end of the year. Anyone else notice Patricia in the crowd??? She was cheering him on --> so cute!

Awwwwww too bad Ferrero still lost that match after his amazing come-back in thew 3rd and 4th set! But Philippoussis was the better player today, that the *sad* truth... Oh well, better luck next year (they'll start again already in February so we won't have to wait THAT long *but it's still a long long time for me and all of you fans probably..* Oh what the heck: Ferrero you're still No 1

Congrats to the Aussies Greetzzz x

*** personally I thought that wrong anthem -shame on the Davis Cup organization in Aus'lia- jinxed the whole thing ***

Oh & by the way I think that pic with JC and the 'new tattoo' is not real. What I mean is: I think it's something on the pic instead of on JC himself (the tattoo he already had is still a bit lower -mm yummy -, and not in the middle like on the pic..) but that's me talking, could be wrong... Which reminds me: WHAT is the thattoo he already has? I've never seen it close enough to see what is 'drawn' don there..? So if anyone has a good pic of it, please post a link or send it to me @ joost_vk@hotmail.com ... Thanks !)

Man, I cant believe JC lost!!! Its a real shame how that all his matches which he comes really close to winning, he just loses, sometimes really badly. Well done for trying though and I hope that this end of season (since the US Open) hasnt effected his mental state for 2004, he just has to think that even though he lost he still has lots of support from his fans across the globe and all his friends and family, which I'm sure he does realise, but Im just sayin.

Cant believe that Philipousiss came back wiv his chest injury! Im sure that if JC had won that match Carlos Moya could hav beaten Hewitt just like that. Its a real big shame, but lets look forward to 2004 and hope JC can go all the way- win loads of tournaments and grand slams, be the year-end no. 1 and win the davis cup!

Good Luck and dont forget we all support you!!

Since I heard the final was played on grass I realized the Australians had the 1st chance. I respect them a lot especially Marky but I was so sad when I saw that Juanqui lost.... Since the US Open his season was crap. Except 4 Madrid, but that wasn't enough to stop Dick 2 end the year as no1.
Hope 2004 will be a better year.

I suck at TT so there's no reason to brag with my 1st round exits :retard:
