The 2003 US Open wasn't enough, but I certainly hope that having Roddick on the ropes last night will finally be the straw that gets Gilbert to shut his gigantic mouth once and for all on JC being just another clay courter.

CASTRATION FOR GILBERT!! JUST BECAUSE!! While we're at it.

Before the match began yesterday, Brad Gilbert told the world that Ferrero's 2004 was lost because he lost it (he mentioned the chicken pox, but then he quickly stressed that Ferrero lost match because he lost his passion ). My point is, we see 2004 is the year of misfortune, Gilbert suggested that it's Ferrero's fault because he lost the edge. JC don't deserve all these.
I know what you mean...I swear, whenever JC is mentioned, it's always something like "Ahh, yes Juan Carlos Ferrero, he didn't have a very good season last year because of...(we know the story)...and etc etc..

Some commentators are good, like, they say that he was number 1 and RG champion, but the story of him being ill/injured is just always "out there".

Re: The "Tough Love for Juanqui at the USO" Thread

i always hate it when ppl don't appreciate what he has done 2003, he was number 1 and won RG, they always say that, but they always mention 2004 and that he was number one only for a very short time
for example, the halle match against waske, the german commentator always stressed that jc has been number one only for a short time - but, hey, at least juanqui was number one - waske not

why is it easier to hurt someone with words than with deeds?

Re: The "Tough Love for Juanqui at the USO" Thread

Commentators can be cruel, show blatant favouritism, say stupid things. Just mute the TV and watch the match Or become a commentator yourself so you can say good things about JC on TV!!

Anyway, I'm hoping that this years USO will be excellent for JC. I'm having high hopes for 06 already... A bit too early, no? If the draw is good, the weather is good and JC is all good (not tired, not under pressure) then there's no reason he shouldn't do well. Hahahaha, don't castrate him

Cheering for Juan Carlos, Igor, Richie, GGL, Sebastien, Carlos, Marat, Tommy and Rafael!

Agree with you guys on the commentator things....
Every single time I watch a match of Juanqui, the commentators will say something about his injury and how he stayed at No.1 briefly.. I was like " Hey, not all players become No.1 players in the world you know."
Some commentators are good, but some are way biased....

Cliff Dryesdale is the most Juanqui-friendly commentator on ESPN. Thank god for him! lol

I still maintain that Johnny Mac has respect for Juanqui too (although he toes the party line when a match involves an American)--I think his finalist appearance in USO03 really made a believer of him.

Re: The "Tough Love for Juanqui at the USO" Thread

These idiotic and biased lines from commentators have made me turn my TV on mute. It's awful enough that my favorite players like Juanqui loses a very tight match without their voices puncturing my eardrum.

Oh yeah, JC needs a tough love from us, his fans. LOL! Please I need you Juan Carlos to go deeper into the draw at USO and for once banish the nightmares of early exits. Please!!!!!!

Slamming my head againts the wall is not healthy and that is what I wanted to do whenever he loses to some one I know he should have beaten. I don't want to break my cranium.

But of course, I'll love this guy no matter what.

Buena suerte en el 2005 MARAT! We believe.

I still maintain Castration for Borg as the battle cry going into the USO. That's the toughest love possible.

If that doesn't scare him into winning a few matches, I don't know what will.

Troicki - Djokovic - Del Potro - Kyrgios - Berankis
Cibulkova - Robson - Kirilenko - Azarenka
Retired but always loving Ferrero - Ancic - Kiefer
