Re: Juanqui News and Articles 2005

Thanks everyone for the support

On a serious note, Sky could really use a tennis channel - like the one they have in America. We have channels for golf, motorsports, horse racing, dog racing, american sports and loads of football channels but not tennis?

I would really like to see tournaments like Auckland, Marseille, Barcelona, Estoril, Halle, Bastad, Umag etc... None of these are covered by Sky or Eurosport even though they are all ATP Tour events.

I hate watching LIVE SCORES It's boring , it's frustrating and (most important) it's bad luck .

AO05 first round, w Santiago Ventura, lost to McPhie/Leach of USA...I should clarify that they were actually winning when Juanqui rolled his ankle and he had to retire from the match as a precaution.

I would be happy to do that. What would Sky have to lose? Tons of Live Tennis on one channel. All the hardcore tennis fans would tune in, especially when their favs are playing. The tournaments would gladly sell the TV rights for free to get maximum exposure and Sky would get all the advertisement money and possibly subscription fees too.

If they did start a tennis channel, but you had to pay extra for it, would you subscribe to it? Ideally, I suppose, it would come as part of the sports package.

Re: Juanqui News and Articles 2005

I e-mailed Sky and here was the response I got:
Quote:
Thanks for your email about a dedicated Tennis channel.

I appreciate your comments in relation to this as there is so much Tennis to cover throughout the course of the season. Unfortunately, there is no information with regard to such a service becoming available on the Sky digital platform.

However, your interest has been noted and passed on to the relevant department for their information.

We appreciate feedback and would like to thank you for contacting us with your thoughts.

Kind regards
Sorry guys, this probably belongs in GM.

Juanqui's playing in a charity football match organized by Sergio Garcia for children with cancer...

ENCUENTRO SOLIDARIO I PARTIDO BENÉFICO AMIGOS C. F. BORRIOL

Juanqui's playing the Spanish Masters in Zamora December 16-18...
