I don't like Santoro there. Their matches have always been close, although Juanqui has beaten him 4 times and only lost once because he had to retire. Frenchies are always dangerous at Roland Garros

On the bright side, it'll probably be a Center Court match, because he's a Frenchie so it might be shown on tv

At least Nadal is far away. He can beat Marat and Tommy. And hell, if he gets that far, why not Coria

Ugh! What a draw! Safin in the 3rd rd, Coria in the QF! I just want Juanqui to go as far as possible and repair his ranking, but a 3rd rd loss w be terrible. And can't you just hear the commentators stirring up all the controversy again (thanks, Marat)? Only one guy has a worse draw overall, and that's Rogi with Almagro, Gonzalez, Moya...if his shoulder holds up, Nalby, and Nadal, Gasquet, or Gaudio...all the hot guys on clay except Coria and Juanqui.

As far as I'm concerned, I'll be surprised if Coria doesn't make it to the final with his Agassi-like draw...

Hopp Rogi! Go Gonzo! Allez Gasquet!

safin but: hey it might also have been nadal or federer..so it isn't that bad...juanqui won both last games against marat..
and QF guille is better than 3rd round guille
and davydenko will aslo meet him not before the QF

VAMOS, juanqui..show them you're worth seeded much higher

why is it easier to hurt someone with words than with deeds?

I should put Tommy R in there too as a rival for Juanqui...he just beat Haas at WTC!

But you're quite right, best not to look too far ahead. Just take it one match at a time. VAMOS JUANQUI!!!!

Re: The "Lord of the Racket: The Return of Juanqui the King" RolandGarros cheering thread

Err.. Ugh........

What kind of a draw is that - can't say it is good, bad, ok, passable

Marat in round 3 - but he has to pass Santoro for that in the 2nd round

Right now, let's concentrate on Karol Beck - He isn't that bad on clay either.
