The 'Birthday Bash' in Marseille Thread

wayhey, jc's playing again! who knows he might even be rebellious and actually get to play on his bday (saturday) which would require him to get to the semis. that entails winning 4 matches. in 1 week. now AO was a bit of a step up 4 him by winning 2 matches in a row....

ok well on the plus side, he lost 1st here last year (remember that everyone? to gregory carraz ) so he has zilch points to defend. meaning if he wins one match he'll gain points my god its been so long since he gained points and not lost them....

well the draw isnt out yet, not til sunday i dont think but fingers crossed it'll be a relatively ok draw for him. he needs it.

and the nice people at the marseille tournament website have classed jc as a star player - http://www.open13.org/R3_public/R3-2...eur/F3-2-4.cfm

maybe they dont know hes 64th now

Re: The 'Birthday Bash' in Marseille Thread

I'm really excited for this to get started. I hope that he can do really well. I mean, even a couple matches would be nice.. get a few points, get a few matches under his belt, and get some confidence. That is the most important thing.

I think that JC has had cursed draws for long enough! Perhaps this time he'll get lucky and get a suitable draw!!

Besides, JC deserves to have a great birthday. I hope that he could make it that far......

King Juan Carlos is back to take the crown!

Re: The 'Birthday Bash' in Marseille Thread

good luck JC
i really hope he can build on what he did at the AO - so 3 match wins would be good any more than that would be flippin great. But as Roisin said as he has no points to defend getting past the first round would be a bonus. He deserves a bit of luck so hopefully he'll get a good draw

Rafa Nadal Juanqui Ferrero

Marat Safin Carlos Moya Feli Lopez Nando Verdasco Richie Gasquet

Robredo Guga Garcia-Lopez Ferrer Tomeu

Interviewer: It surprises people how well you get on with Nadal
Carlos Moya: I can't conceal that. I love him very much and I knew that one day he would be better than me. He's on another level.

Jogg, Lovely avatar as usual. And I don't care what his draw is like because he is good enough to beat anyone, and i know he can beat anyone. I don't just want him to kick ass on his birthday, i want him to win this damn thing. Koubek isn't here so what can really go wrong.

Re: The 'Birthday Bash' in Marseille Thread

Nobody ignores in Open13 the new ranking ( 64 !!) of JCF, BUT have´nt French people of that tourny-website a gourgeous way ( so elegant!) for presenting our favourite (as STAR player) Roisin ?? They avoid ugly details of question of numbers... there are great !!!!!!!!! Sometimes tennis is just like cooking, presentation is decisively important too.

yeah, but this year, the tournaments are a week out because last year DC was on straight after AO, so the points he got in Marseille last year won't be taken off til the week after. But either way, he HAS to do well here! would be great to see him win on his b'day cos that would mean he'd get to the final! At the AO he lost the day before my b'day which was a shame but I will forgive him if he wins in Marseille
