Re: The Champion In Hamburg

Nice thread title!

This guy Stebe is having a kind of breakthrough season.
Hope JC can stop him like he did with Del Bonis.

Good luck, Juanqui!

Re: The Champion In Hamburg

I assume so. Has he said anything?

Hopefully he wins quickly or not at all. It's 6 wins to take the title here and not sure he should be playing this many matches so soon. Plus he has Umag to defend next week.

Re: The Champion In Hamburg

Agree with you Jimnik. Although Hamburg offers more points than Stuttgart and Umag, it's no use if he tires himself out by overplaying!

Here's OOP for Tuesday...and he's not on Centre Court. In fact, matches on M1 court is far more attractive the ones on CC.

M1
Matches Start At: 11:00 am

Radek STEPANEK (CZE) vs Andreas BECK (GER)
Sergiy STAKHOVSKY (UKR) vs Gilles SIMON (FRA)
Juan Carlos FERRERO (ESP) vs Cedrik-Marcel STEBE (GER)
Lukas DLOUHY (CZE)/Michal MERTINAK (SVK) vs Jurgen MELZER (AUT)/Philipp PETZSCHNER (GER)

Good luck, Juan Carlos!!

Re: The Champion In Hamburg

Don't expect too much from him here. He said last week multiple times that he was tired.

Don't think he cares much about the points anymore. Just goign deep into tournaments and having fun. Might as well rest up a bit, celebrate more and get going for Umag, probably one of his favourite tournaments.

Re: The Champion In Hamburg

2-2*

When I opened the scoreboard JC was serviing *1-2, and there were several deuces after he went 40-15 up. Maybe he's feeling tired?
They've already saved BPs in the first three games.
So frustrating there's no streaming.
