Ferrero to rest until Davis Cup final

MADRID, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Juan Carlos Ferrero will not play again until the Davis Cup final between Spain and the United States in December.
"I need 15 or 20 days to rest and the same amount of time to train," Ferrero was quoted as saying in Spanish newspapers on Thursday. "Hopefully I'll be at 100 percent by then. I need to adapt to my new racket."
Former world number one Ferrero has struggled with injury for much of this season and slipped to 33rd in the rankings.
His hopes of a defence of his Madrid Masters title were dashed on Wednesday when he lost 6-3 6-1 to Luis Horna of Peru in the second round.
Despite his struggles, Ferrero remains an integral part of Spain's Davis Cup team and is almost certain to play singles against the U.S. in Seville from December 3 to 5.

Carlos Moya: I can't conceal that. I love him very much and I knew that one day he would be better than me. He's on another level.
i think that might be a wise idea actually, i support him in whatever he decides anyway.
