Re: Davis Cup

I'm really disappointed about Ferrero not playing, I know Nadal is a great player, but Ferrero has the runs on the board, he's done it before, we know he won't choke. And regardless of his year, we all know he can still play well on clay, and he'll rise for Davis Cup. And it's not the best of ideas to have Nadal play all 3 days

Re: Davis Cup

5th rubber, it won't happen. Spain is too good, i'm so disappointed that he won't play. He says he's 100% fit so WHY NOT BELIEVE HIM, AND LET HIM PLAY. Im so freaking angry but i still want spain to do well, and roisin, you felt like crying, well i had tears in my eyes

Re: Davis Cup

JC said during all the week Spanish Captain Jordi Arrese told him was going to play and he was suprised too with the decision.
I don't think Nadal can beat Andy Roddick,in us open he lost to Roddick easily,of course this time play in Spain at clay,Roddick is not good at it ,but Nadal doesn't has good redclay result too.

Re: Davis Cup

Maybe it was not worth risking another injury or waste of energy...I heard on CNN that JC said he was 85% fit. Replacing Juanqui was a hard decision and we gotta cope w/ it tho it's hard.

Yeah i'm sure he's happy for Rafa, they showed him a lot on the coverage i was watching and he was cheering Carlos and Rafa on.

But i'm not sure that the way he was dropped is going to do his confidence much good

Rafa Nadal Juanqui Ferrero

Marat Safin Carlos Moya Feli Lopez Nando Verdasco Richie Gasquet

Robredo Guga Garcia-Lopez Ferrer Tomeu

Interviewer: It surprises people how well you get on with Nadal
Carlos Moya: I can't conceal that. I love him very much and I knew that one day he would be better than me. He's on another level.

It won't do his confidence any good, i think it will destroy it more, because he prepared for it for so long, and they basically told him that he wasn't any good to play, even after he said he's at 100% health, but I know Juanqui is a fighter and will put up a mental battle and get through this. I'm sure his confidence will be fully restored once he wins RG next year
