Juanqui has a lot of other interests besides tennis as well, with his hotel, his tournament and various diversions. He is also a great friend, brother and son and a very sweet man. That is why I like him and want to see him do well.
It won't take long to get over this result. His losses at the other slams this year were much worse. And it's not like he had an easy opponent waiting in the next round. Federer is the US Open Series champion and form player. There'll be better opportunities than this in the future.
I agree. Juanqui has won three tournaments this year. He has done an amazing amount in his 30 years of life. He is also a very nice man and a good person, which is more important than his tennis triumphs.
Peeps, this is the cheering thread remember?
So we can all whine about him losing, or we just can be sad for a moment and move on and think about the things he did this year. Because if you can remember, our Juan Carlos won 3 titles in the last six months, and that is something to be really proud of. Of course I would have loved to see him winning, but he didn't and that sucks.
Move on and be positive, and he will kick ass in his next tournament. Being all negative it not really useful to him.
Well said you to many people only come on here to slag him off!!
Ok he lost and yes I was upset for him, but give the guy a break if you actually saw the match you would see that he was totally fucked off with himself and God willing he doesn't come on here after he loses and reads the slagging off he gets! Sure that would make him feel 100 times better about himself

Just as I feared. He was bothered by the knee pain from the second set. This explains why he didn't chase the ball at all during some points in the second and the third sets.
He didn't call for the trainer, but he probably knew doing so wouldn't have improved the situation.
Hope he'll be fine for the Asian hc swing.
Location: Setting up camp on the shores of Mallorca
Re: Juan Carlos at USO 2010 cheering thread
Thanks for that Bunny. That explains why he "sleptwalked" through the second and third sets. So I was a little rough in my estimation of his performance. Apologies. Still, I don't quite understand why he wouldn't call for a trainer. If he has the opportunity to try to improve his condition during the match I would think he'd take it. just sayin.
