Re: Andreas Vinciguerra

Vinciguerra is playing in Geneva this week and hopefully he can win at this venue, where so many good players have won, well at least ones I like anyway.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Andreas Vinciguerra

I haven't seen half of the guys in the draw, but of the ones I have seen... and I've seen Vinci (as that newspaper pic shows )...I think he has quite a decent chance. There's no reason why he shouldn't be able to kick the asses of these guys And, Marach is at a different tournament, so I'm all for Vinci here

Re: Andreas Vinciguerra

Now Vinci plays Steve Darcis and time to beat this Belgian and make a solid performance here, he hasn't won 2 matches in a row yet on the tour.

BTW BjörkmanG could you celebrate Marach victories in the Austrian forum please.

Yes, I'd like to say I am trying to put my foot down, but it's not working, lol.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Vinci won 6-4 6-3 and is in the quarter finals and plays Argentine Patriarca in the next match, heia Vinci.

Re: Andreas Vinciguerra

How do you feel about a possible semi against Oscar Hernandez? The woulda, coulda, shoulda been Wimbledon finalist?

I will try to remember to keep my marach cheering in the appropriate section :hehe:
Very impressed with the quality of the smiley you used. I contemplated quoting you so it would be immortalised on mtf.

Oscar will win it next year and I love the fact he's playing a clay challenger before playing the US Open. Well for Vinci he has been showing some good form and just hope he can continue it and being the tennis fan I am. I have been to this place years ago, when it used to be an ATP tournament and I'd love if he could win, but he has to get past the QF's.

That smiley will be used a lot more, though on GM mostly.
