Re: Andreas Vinciguerra

Unless i'm more out of the loop then I thought, I'm feeling pretty confident about Vinci's first round .

I tried to add him to my ATP Fantasy League team for some good karma but he's not ranked high enough yet. Is he in the 200s now? Or lower? It's been a few months since I checked.

About the SFs...

PAW 2013:
Munich - 2nd place
Halle - 4th place
's-Hertogenbosch - 4th place
GSTAAD - WINNER

A pic from the match and I will translate the articles tomorrow.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: Andreas Vinciguerra

http://sydsvenskan.se/sport/article171260.ece

Vinciguerra too rusty

Vinciguerra is out of the Båstad tennis. Vinci lost 6-3 6-2 against Czech Lukas Dlouhy

Båstad: It was noticeable early that Andreas Vinciguerra has been away from the top level for too long. The spring in his step which was his strongest thing isn't there any more and the Czech's dropshots gave dividends, Vinci got there too late.

Nevertheless, is it possible that to see serious match the Swede can make a decent comeback on the tour, but at the same time he must see that to defeat many of the young and hungery players in different Challenger events and the question is whether his body will hold up.

The Båstad public did everything to support the popular Scanian in the beginning and it started fairly decently also, but a service break was enough to win the set for the Czech. Vinciguerra had some decent chances, but made too many unforced errors in his groundstrokes.

At the same time Dlouhy is a stable top 100 player and didn't make that many errors. On the contrary he broke "Vinc"s serve twice in the second set and it was fairly clear early on that Vinciguerra will be dismissed, as he slipped out of centre court instantly

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Thank you for posting that. As expected, not the most positive article but it could've been worse.

Re: Andreas Vinciguerra

From the ToJo interview with the same paper.

If Thomas is on the way out, so Andreas Vinciguerra refuses. Even though he should have doubts after a mediocre performance against Lukas Dlouhy the Czech losing in straight sets and took the fast train out of Båstad.

"I want to forget this day as quickly as possible. It's obvious that I am very disappointed."

Vinciguerra has made the QFs of the Tampere Challenger and he either plays Florian Mayer or Brzizecki.

Vinci has made the semis in Trani and this is good and I think he can be back in the top 200 soon if he keeps this up.

He now plays Galvani and he has already defeated Junquiera and Gonzalez who were both seeded in this event.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".
