This is quite old news........ from Dec. 19. But, this really looks like the end for Magnus. He said if he couldn't play without pain he was going to give up tennis.
And now he's not playing the AO.
Former world number two Magnus Norman is likely to miss next month's Australian Open because of a hip injury.
"Magnus has tried almost everything and the situation has not improved," Norman's coach Mikael Tillstrom said.
The Swede reached the French Open final in 2000 but his career has been hampered by injury since his first hip surgery in August 2001.
The 27-year-old is now ranked 125 in the world.
