So, you think ESPN2 is bad with Tennis......

The #1 National channel in Israel was showing the Davis Cup match Israel Vs Italy (Congrats for the crushing win by Israel ).

During the second match, they cut the live feed to air a half hour (pre-recorded) cooking show....

They got a lot of complaints and came out with a this statement: "There was a decision to air the show (cooking show name) that was specially made, and was promised to be aired, the tennis viewers were not hurt since we later aired another hour of the match (the last hour live). So no one was hurt"

Now, what do you say to that

Nothing surprising. They are a bunch of certified wankers it was totally expected. Channel 1 and Channel 2 (and Channel 10 too even though they do have rare flashes of good tv) is television for the mentally handicapped

I don't think ESPN is bad at all. I think it is great.
If it wasn't for ESPN's great tennis coverage in Latin America, I couldn't live in Costa Rica.

I've only had experience with ESPN, but I honestly don't think they're that terrible. People like to trash them and their commentators, but I think the coverage is actually pretty decent. Sure they show American players more, but isn't it like that in every country with their players? I'm usually happy with it unless they have another network to cut to and they don't show matches live because of it. Those kinds of things get annoying. But overall, I try not to complain about it too much.

The thread starter is talking about ESPN2 that airs in the US. Their coverage does suck and it is not the same as ESPN latin america and the other espns over the world.

ESPN is not tennis friendly at all. They usually show tennis matches only when people are at work or in bed. Their typical show time is from 3pm to 6pm and after 11 pm at night. Plus, some scheduled live coverage they substitute with yesterdays matches. And very rarely we can see unfamiliar to US public tennis players.
