I found my best laugh of the day, in the morning paper...

...before I even got to the funnies section. (Found in the Arizona Daily Star, Sunday, March 25, 2007)[...However, it's all over the internet, because it's on the wire feed...]
Quote:
BRAZIL
Woman convicted of frying husband
SAO PAULO - A Brazilian housewife was convicted and sentenced to 19 years in prison Fr5iday for killing her husband, chopping his body into small pieces and frying it.

Rosanita Nery dos Santos, 52, drugged her husband in his sleep, then stabbed him to death two years ago in Salvador, about 900 miles northeast of Sao Paulo, said police spokesman Idmar Bonfim.

She then hacked Jose Raimundo Soares dos Santos' body into more than 100 pieces, which she boiled and fried before hiding them in plastic bags beneath a staircase in her house, Bonfim said.

Now call me cynical...Sadistic, or hopeless...but I'm past 49...and relatively hopeless of getting married.

Decedent's name was: Jose Raimundo Soares dos Santos

.
As the killing happened almost two years ago...June 23, 2005, "in Vila Sao Cosme, a lower middle-class neighborhood in the Bahia state capital of Salvador, 930 miles northeast of Sao Paulo..."...there are no extant photos, easily found on the internet, of either Mr., or Mrs. dos Santos, to include.

Re: I found my best laugh of the day, in the morning paper...

lmao, look at this story on ccn today:

Quote:
Neighbors: Grills burned for days after body burned
HOUSTON, Texas (AP) -- For at least two days, neighbors at a city apartment complex noticed an acrid aroma, black smoke and leaping flames coming from two barbecue grills on the balcony of a second-floor apartment.

What, neighbors at the Red Oak Place apartments wondered, was going on in the unit where 27-year-old Timothy Wayne Shepherd lived? What was he burning at all hours, for days at a time?

The answer turned their stomachs.

According to law enforcement officials, Shepherd dismembered, and then burned the body of his former girlfriend, Tynesha Stewart, a 19-year-old Texas A&M University student. Nothing remains of Stewart's body, Harris County Sheriff Tommy Thomas said at a press conference Saturday.

Re: I found my best laugh of the day, in the morning paper...

Okay, maybe the above is related to the Davis Cup tie, recently scheduled. (You don't think the news is managed, do you?)

This was stranger, possibly...and also in yesterday's paper:
Although it happened July 27th, apparently.
