To commemorate the first ever thread on MTF reaching 100,000 posts.......

The Speech

Some may call us sad. Some may call us losers. Some may say we have no lives. Some may say we have too much time on our hands (this thread totally disproves that theory). But people, we did it.

And now, ladies and gentlemen.....the awards ceremony.

The Awards

The award for the poster with the most posts in the thread goes to....ummmm....myself! My award is a book called 'An Exciting New Life' written by one of my favourite tennis players especially for me.

The award for the most valuable poster in the thread, who stuck by us through thick and thin goes to Jess! - She receives $100,000 and a date with Novak Djokovic.

The award for the person to annoy the thread starter the most times goes to silverwhite! - Unfortunately, the young Singaporean refused to attend the awards as he didn't want to reveal his identity, so his friend Ding Junhui accepted the award on his behalf.

The award for the most respected member of the thread goes to GWH! - Unfortunately, GWH was hit on his face by an apple, believed to have been thrown from an Andy Roddick fan.

The 'Florence Nightingale' award goes to Sue! - Thank you for treating us all with such care, we have each thrown a few coppers in and bought you a new first aid kit.

The award for the most dedicated poster to the cause goes to Peta Pan, for her amazing efforts in reading back through pages and pages despite having a dial up connection - her award is a shirt signed by all the players of her favourite football club.

The 'Mother Theresa' award for the most caring poster goes to Lee! She receives a collection of DVDs and videos, including all the best matches of Gustavo Kuerten, Rainer Schuettler, and Frank Dancevic.

The award for the most outstanding attempt to become an animal goes to Jiat! She wins a year supply of fish.

The special award for the person who deserves a nice bit of a luck and a relaxing break away goes to Isa, who will be treated to an all expenses paid trip to London.

The award for the best male vocal performance during karaoke goes to Genci, who is given a recording contract with the man below.

The award for the best female vocal performance during karaoke goes to Caro, who wins a romantic meal for 2 followed by a night in a 5 star hotel to enjoy with her new man.

Also, special mentions to:
Mandoura - We miss you.
Maria - We love you.
Gulzhan - We want you to post more.
Scott - Forgive us.
Gustavo - Our beloved Nadal fan.
Sarah - Stop getting drunk and grace us with your magnificent presence.
Jonathan - Our #1 pimp.
Marlene - Our equal favourite new mummy.
Lorenzo/Joey - Our banned posters.
Ryan - Our best behaved maths student.
Eddie - Our most acclaimed film critic.
Wiebke - Where are you?
Deb!. - Moved to other areas of the board.
Addey - Another sorely missed poster.
Billy - Our resident charmer.
Jimbo - Who made this all possible (it was his appreciation thread after all).
Betty - Our equal favourite new mummy.
Olga - Our favourite model.
Prabu - Our rare but magnificent Aussie.

What? I didn't get 'Best Cameo Appearance' for my two (or was it three) posts in that thread on the one day I attempted to keep up with it? Ha-rumph!!!!!!

Kidding. Congrats to all of you nutz in that thread for putting up with pictures of Adam's 'results' after his drinking binges.

Best twitter posts of the epic match:

@dougrobson - Whoever is supplying Mahut with hair gel needs to ink a sponsorship deal now.

@Wimbledon - FYI, with @Wimbledon live scoring devices, please add 50 to the games in the fifth set of the Isner v Mahut match.

@HolterMedia - Nice to see that a three-day test has come to tennis here @wimbledon.
