Anyway...., I don´t dislike Portuguese accent, I think is a beautiful language, the Portuguese language isn´t just a matter of accents for me...

I didn't hear "pure" Portuguese but Brazilian accent (from Brasilia area ) in English is sooooo sweeet! I absolutely love it and it's also easy to understand, unlike some other (local and foreign) accents that i heard (Indian comes to mind )

I also like how French accent sounds in English

Long live Marat Safinenko. Amen.

Re: What's your favourite accent?

I am not a fan of German, but when the Swiss or Austrians speak it. It's a lot easier to listen to for me.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

Re: What's your favourite accent?

That sing-songy Cornish accent

Brazilian, when sung, accompanied by a lilty, swaying bossa nova beat

Russian, such a mouthful!

Castellano, as spoken by Alex Corretja [or any language spoken by Corretja]

Argentine Spanish, as spoken by Gaston Gaudio

Even the Basel dialect, spoken by Roger Federer!

Hopp Rogi! Go Gonzo! Allez Gasquet!

Más vale maña que fuerza -- proverbio español
"Pero, con todos mis respetos para Rafa, Federer tiene más talento." - Marat Safin
"Pero para mí el mejor es Roger Federer. / For me, the best is Roger Federer." - D. Nalbandian
"He's the best sportsman, I think, in the world. He has a lot of humble." - Rafael Nadal
"He's so charismatic." - Marcos Baghdatis

Re: What's your favourite accent?

Local accents:
Brussels dialect. It's not that beautiful to listen to but it's funny (because of the mixture of Dutch and French words thrown together in one sentence).

International:
Italian
German: esp. in a certain context like when listening to Rammstein for example. German perfectly suits that style of music.
Scottish: like somebody else said, it's fun to listen to but quite often, I need subtitles. Esp. when somebody like Billy Connolly starts talking. However, here on the continent, I can get subtitles on BBC1 but not on BBC2 which sucks because Connolly is usually shown on 2.

Australian! Probably the only one that makes you think what a nice accent, rather than just hearing it.
