I just picked my fantasy football team for the new season and thought of making a group for MTF so if anyone here fancies testing their football knowledge give this a try
Pushers United 204
Chokers forever 183
shaman kings 178
spaghetti junction 172
Juan night in heaven 150
change name 142
A touch of Klaassen 130
The special one 119
Levski Bulgaria 112
The Boltons 108
Men behaving Chadli 97
Sorry, but just saw this now. I was banned when you quoted me.
But honestly, I played this EPL fantasy a few years back and found too confusing. Fantasy games need to be more simple.
We hade a game called CARTOLA here, it's the most perfect fantasy football game I ever played. I use to play with local friends and we bet (a small ammount of) money each year. Of course, in portuguese and about the local (and awful) championship.
You pick a coach, 11 players and make your lineup (following one of the classic formations of footbal) for each round and the players obviously score points based on their stats in the game. Based on their scoring they also increase or decrease their valeu each weekend, increasing or decreasing your money as a club. So, you can sell them all after each round and buy new players each week. There is no captain, free or non-free transfers, backups and other complicated stuff, pretty simple and very fun to play.
I don't think it's that confusing tbh. The only thing I found difficult was picking my team under 100m had to change it a couple of times because I was going over budget.
Anyway, I'm not doing that great. I'm about 9th in MTF group out of about 12 and lost both my h2h matches. In fairness 2 of my midfielders managed to get injured straight away and could only play 3 midfielders.
Now I'm back from holiday I've rung the changes and I can hope to get back into this, such a shambolic start to the season, I'm at an immediate disadvantage.
Not to worry though... Men Behaving Chadli will rise again!
Not a good start for me either. TBF though I think we've both been unlucky with injured players. And my captain Harry Kane never scores in August anyway
No he does tend to have a slow start, the annoying thing is that everytime I've ever seen Kane play live he's scored... always against the Albion! I'm rooted to the foot of the table and need a few good weeks just to get off bottom!
I had 3 star players in my squad this week (Morata, Kane, Coutinho) but forgot to put Coutinho back in my first team, so that cost me a lot of points, and the rest of my team underperformed. Still not a terrible week.
