That was an incredible finale! Easily one of the best ever. I truly loved all the character resolutions! and Michael Giacchino's incredible score. Those dissatisfied should read the fantastic Doc Jensen recap:

Quote:
Jack smiled. It was real. It was all real. And in that moment, he was complete. Redeemed. Reconciled. Restored. He remembered his last moments on The Island. He remembered his sacrifice. He remembered he had lived a life, a hard life, a life full of mistakes and pain, but that in the end, the good in him won out, and that he died with heart in the right place. He was a hero. And he let go. The End.

Wow, I just realized I've wasted ~85 hours of my life.

That really sums the finale up to a tee. A long, drawn out, mindnumbingly boring and cheesy get-together with some "touching" music. I can't believe that's all it took to please people.

Well I'll reply with a quote from David Hume (how Lost-ish!)

"Beauty in things exists merely in the mind which contemplates them."

or (not so Lost-ish)

"Beauty is in the eye of the be(er)holder"

When I'm good, I'm very good...but when I'm bad, I'm better
