Re: The Cricket World Cup 2015 Thread

I don't like the schedule one bit. Should have been two matches on every day for the groups stage. This way it is going to take way too long. With so many minnow teams, it will become quite boring too.

Haven't checked bookies odds, but according to me, these are the teams that should be the favourites(before the tournament started) for reaching F and SF:
F: AUS-SA
SF: Above two plus NZ, ENG (IND, PAK and SL in questionable form)

Don't know how NZ are ranked 9th, but they should do very well here. As for QF, the only upset(other than top 8 test teams) possible was Ireland. They qualified in 2007 and beat England last time. Most important match was vs. WI, and they won that. Now they should be favourites over WI to reach QF.

First three matches were NID. Was surprised at how well ZIM did against SA though.

What a match
NZ showing their dominance.

With their current form, I may have to change my 4th SF pick to SL from ENG

It is ok, world cups are not won in the first week.

The reason why people attended the Del Potro v Lu match at AO 2012:

I won't write off England yet. And Pakistan, you never know. They can lose to the worst team and beat the best on their day.

I too wouldn't write off either England or Pakistan yet. Pretty sure that both will reach the QF. Then you just need one good day(or one bad day for your opponent) to make the SF.

Re: The Cricket World Cup 2015 Thread

I think it's pretty safe to write England off, even though we'll probably make the quarter finals by default.

I agree with acacacacademy.
