(imagine David Ferrer stood 9 feet tall or everybody had Nadal's stamina + biceps and could produce heavy topspin over 5 sets...)
MachineGun's ideal world.
generally i dont intend to put sort of moral pressure on people here
Now, see, that's where you are going wrong.
...so feel free to submit f.i.:
[I]UriahHeep - Lady in black
i will give you zero points then most likely
You consider Lady in Black to be vote whoring?
on the other hand, there may very well be also some 70s "classics" out there that i've never heard in my life (i'm not a music freak at all) and make me gladly hand many points to them.
thats the game.
I agree with the general idea behind what you are saying, but for most of us it would be quite tough to give something not famous from the 70s. But famous goes beyond classic rock. For instance, I would think that "Gentle on my Mind"(1968, damn it
!) would not be very famous among our group of participants, but it is in every sense of the word a classic. Each of the following had at least one extremely GOATy album in the 70s:
Elton John, Blondie, Abba, Roberta Flack, James Taylor, Bill Withers, Rod Stewart, Bee Gees, Dolly Parton, Stevie Wonder, Carole King, America, The Carpenters, The Pretenders, Don McLean, Bette Midler, John Denver, Glenn Campbell.
Most of these, IMO, would not be too popular among the classic rock and indie-brigades which are dominating this game. So, then what you're saying just boils down to don't submit the "big" classic rock numbers.
I prefer 1770s musicz
