Question for Croatians (and other people familiar with it): What's Vodice like?

Last year a waiter told me that it's a great place to party, a lot better than Zrce, less touristy. Is this true? And if so, what kind of bars and clubs are there, and are they any good (I only know of Hacienda)?

And how to best get there (I'll be staying on Murter for a week, that's relatively close by)?

I was there last year, and will probably go this year again. It's a great place :worship:
It's actually pretty small, but a lot of people of my/our age go there over the summer.

Hacienda is the most popular club there, though it wasn't open yet when I was there last year as I went pretty early in the season (early July). It's a bit outside of the city so you'll most probably have to take a bus to get there, or go by car if you have one, which I wouldn't recommend if you intend to drink. :p
In the center of the city there are a few night clubs, Makina, Opium and Angels. Go to Angels if you're a fan of Balkan Folk music, if not then skip it. :p
Makina and Opium have a wider range of music, mainly mixing Balkan music with popular foreign music.
There's also Hookah Bar, it's placed on the beach and you can enjoy awesome after beach parties there.
Vodice are a calm place during the day, but get wild during the night and that's why I absolutely loved it there.

Yes, Murter is very close, there are buses from Vodice to Murter and vice-versa on regular basis, it's no problem at all to get to Vodice from Murter.

Well, you shouldn´t expect things to be like Zrce there, it is quite a bit calmer. Still, Hacienda can be nice, especially when some singer has a live performance there. Opium and Makina are indeed quite decent too, with Makina being the club with most foreign music. You shouldn´t go to these clubs before 12 pm though, seeing as the bars on the beach are open then and they are far more fun.
Arausa and Marina are good restaurants. Murter and Vodice are closeby, buses should go quite regularly, though try to rent a car if you are able to, it gives you more freedom. Also, if you are staying in Murter, visit Tisno for a day, there´s a nice secluded beach there that is not as busy as Murter is (and unlike Murter you don´t have to walk a kilometer until you the sea is deep enough to actually swim).
