I don't care so much, I'll be happy with everybody winning, as long as Germany wins the World Cup next year

Are any of the countries playing their proper 1st team? I think Greece might so I'll choose them.

Re: FIFA Confederations Cup Germany 2005

LOL, what a high scoring game Germany vs Australia was
Germany win 4-3 against Australia...

Had Germany not scored the 4th goal, they would have lost (well, a tie would have been a loss considering that Germany was supposed to win that match) against Australia. Not too bad what Australia played, but Germany were defensively :retard: :retard:

Jeez. I just managed to figure out there is a Women's Euro Cup AND an Under-20 Youth World Cup going on. Now I find there is also a Federation Cup!!!!!!!!!!
Some of those little countries must be deserted; men, women AND children are all off somewhere kicking a ball about. Now would be a good time to invade them.

I really don't get the intention of this tournament. Players want to get on vacantion instead of playing some shitty tournament that just exists because of the money. Normally I watch everything on TV when it comes to football, but even I skip this one.

Well, I don't know about the others countries but Brazil isn't with your first team, just some players.

You're right, it's not the highest value and players would like to get some time off also. But IMO I think some teams just are looking for some competitive tournament play, not just one qualification game each four weeks with sometimes months between them. For some teams, I think, it's also important to find together and to stay together for longer time because normally they are spread all over the world with their clubs. And in the case of Germany, they just need some practise and competition because they don't need to qualify and from playing friendlies against Ireland or other little teams that have time to play exhibition matches, you don't get so much better and you can't draw enough conclusions from your play.

Overall I think the the Confed Cup has also its positive sides, at least for some teams and for some situations (of course it always happened in the past too that some teams are just not motivated enough for this).
