It's hard to wrap my mind around the fact that any human being* actually misses studying for exams. I mean, what exactly do you like about high-pressure studying?
I hate studying and expecially exams. I think I'm good at learning things by forcing things to my head is so difficult, I learn things by stealth by doing/using them. I don't have the motivation to study something before I know I really need to know it also after the exam.
And studying for exams is inhumane. Basically there are no working hours, even if you study 24/7, you could still do better. My university's library was open during the exam period until 2am, so that the most hard-working students can study. That's just crazy, excessive studying should be banned because of its adverse health effects. One example of the effects of combining heavy stydying and watching the Olympics is that I was so tired on Monday that I slept 15 hours between Monday 3pm and Tuesday 10am.
Studying for exams is the only thing that ever drove me to have suicidal thoughts. I was staring at a turkey while memorising something, and wondered whether I could suffocate myself by wearing it like a ski-mask.
I found exams weird. I would study a good amount, get nervous before, then when I was in the actual exam all my thoughts just came to me, all my revision was so clear and remembered everything I learnt, even things I just glanced at a month ago I could recall. Good, I guess.
After going through the process of having to study for my legal bar examination round this time last year and passing it, all I can say is that I hope I don't ever have to go through anything similar study-wise in my life. So no...I don't miss studying and exams, I much prefer what I'm doing now, i.e. learning through work and practice.
