I didn't wanted to address you with my comment, sorry if it sounded like this.

We don't know the reason why he was off-piste and apparently it was just 20 mentres away from the other one.

They say that accidents happen when you ski but most of the time people get off cheaply.

Unfortunately Michael didn't had this luck.

There will be a new pressconference in one hour.

don't worry, guess it would be good news

Rafa! Rafa! Rafa!

Epic movies, like brokeback mountain, are seldom found in the industry or worthy for the mainstream viewer. As often as I have watched the clips of this movie, I always find something more to it. For one, the gay stuff doesn't enter the picture for me, only the dimension of the highest love I have ever witnessed in life or on film.

Re: Michael Schumacher in critical condition after skiing accident

According to Michael Schumacher's press spokeswoman and manager Sabine Kehm Michael has helped one of his friends who had a fall and therefore didn't rased with high speed.
He went over a little rock which he hasn't seen and lost control.
It would be terrible luck that he then fall with the head on another rock.

Indeed, I remember snowboarding here in Finland off-piste in a forest among trees when I was younger. Wouldn't do it nowadays I think, but you do crazy stuff when you're younger. Sounds like he had a ton of bad luck . Hope he recovers.

I was prepared to read a lot worse though, so I'm cautiously heartened by this.

I'm no Doctor though, so I really have no idea what the chances are in this type of situation.

I agree with acacacacademy.

The doctors don't know either and won't know for a while. The body is complex and what kills one person doesn't necessarily kill another. And even beyond surviving there is no way to calculate brain damage at this point. So it's a long vigil for his family and those who hold him dear. At least he had timely and expert medical intervention. The doctors are extraordinarily grim, imo, but maybe that's how they conduct themselves. They don't even say they are cautiously optimistic.

Don't forget that it is an extraordinary situation that they have to talk to stupid journalists asking silly questions like "Do you know when Schumacher can be transported to Germany?".

I'm sure they would prefer just to do their tough job instead of having to deal with the media.

According to Michael's press spokeswoman the Hospital Management consider to banish the journalists from the Hospital Zone as they are hindering important workflows.

The journalists are just doing their job.

No change today and it looks like it could stay that way for weeks to come. Meanwhile it's his birthday on Friday.

Not when they are hindering the essential workflows.

It's not only Michael's family who has to suffer from the siege but also the relatives of other patients in the hospital.

Re: Michael Schumacher in critical condition after skiing accident

Footage from Michael Schumacher's helmet camera shows him going at the speed of "a very good skier" when he hit a rock and fell, investigators say.
