RIP Henry Chinaski loses battle with cystic fibrosis

From James McGee

I really hope that it isn't true but it seems to be case. One of MTF's finest has died and gone way too soon. ShankTennis on Twitter named after Federer's backhand who was Henry Chinaski here on MTF

https://twitter.com/jamesmcgee01/sta...21577339408384

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I'll miss his distinctive 'voice' - great fun to read and talk tennis with.

Terrible loss.

Re: RIP Henry Chinaski

MTF has lost of one of the best

He was only active on 28/08, it shows anything can happen in life.

In a sport that is a sea of mediocrity and poor research from both journalists and ex-pros, he provided insightful analysis mixed with his own unbeatable dry humour. Awful loss to the forum, and especially to all who knew him on a personal level.

unbiased analyst extraordinaire

Re: RIP Henry Chinaski

Shock. No words really. Big loss.

- Moved to GM for a while... deserves that much at least -

“There’s so many athletes, tennis players around the world,” he continued, trying to put his life into some kind of perspective, “they want to be the best in what they do. They want to succeed. Many of them, they don’t succeed in the end. I’m fortunate to have this opportunity and succeed.”

I'm so very, very sorry to hear of this. My deepest condolences to all his family and friends.

Was just looking at his profile page recently thinking I hadn't seen him post in a while.

Condolences to his family and those who knew him closely online and offline.
