he was a friend to some of us on this board (myself included) but his loss is also a big blow for journalism

one of the very few unbiased people, with good research, not a fanboy or a hater, witty and talented - somehow this type of people (as few as they exist) never get jobs in big media... but they are read and influence tennis folk in the good way... there will be one less now

Only really knew him on here where he was a great poster, very knowledgeable and witty. Of course the big loss here is that of his family and friends. RIP
