31 years old.

Losing somebody is always tough but it's esp. hard when you have to say goodbye at such a young age.

I wish his loved ones and his friends a lot of strength.

Would be nice to do something for charity on his behalf.

Wonder if we could get enough interest?

We should sponsor an irish future to give his name to the tournament.

Re: RIP Henry Chinaski loses battle with cystic fibrosis

I very rarely post on this site anymore because as we all know The Duck has retired from playing tennis.
However, I do come here to keep up with tennis, and laugh--a lot.

But I did want to say, I'm very sad to read that Henry died. It's just very sad to me.

My thoughts and prayer go out to his friends, family, and fans on Men's Tennis Forums.

Nole!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: RIP Henry Chinaski loses battle with cystic fibrosis

We had the Irish futures idea on the betting forum Henry used to post on too. Getting one named in his honour, and raising money for cystic fibrosis both online and locally, perhaps getting streaming set up for the week etc too. Would be sure to get a good response from the Irish players he's supported down the years. Maybe Bercuzzi could even make a guest appearance.... It's in early stages but we'll try to get moving with it.

Perhaps in the long term we can have a Henry Chinaski Open every year.... funded by contributions from forum members.

Shocking and terrible news. R.I.P. He was a fine and original thinker, loving the sport. He will be missed. I wish the best to his loved ones.

Had an oppotrunuty to meet this extraordinary man in real life and wasted it due to some unimportant work or just plain lazyness.Gutted, schocked and ashamed at the same time.

ThE friend over the years & thE most knowlegable bloke ard here. He had listened & gave advices abt my personal health issues but never said a word abt himself. His unique humour is simply 'once in a lifetime'. AS golden member. Miss his tweets, blog, everything abt Shanktennis.

Great idea. Ireland has already got a tennis coach on MTF btw.
