Thumbs up Top 10 songs of the 90's

To continue with the current trend of music threads I thought you might like to take a trip down musical memory lane and choose your favorite songs of each decade. Take your time, I know these decisions aren't easy.

1. Temple of the dog - Hunger Strike. Absolutely perfect. The music, the lyrics, the reason why it was made, the people involved the timing, the fact that they kept the project unique despite the pressure to merchandise it, it is the history of the alternative rock-grunge, just listening to it.

2. Pearl Jam - Alive
3. Pearl Jam - Even flow
4. Nirvana - Smells like teen spirit
5. Soundgarden - Black hole sun
6. Soundgarden - Spoonman
7. Alice in Chains - Man in the box
8. Red Hot Chili Peppers - Under the bridge
9. Metallica - Nothing else matters
10. Extreme - More than words

wooden jesus, can i be saved? i spent all my money on a future grave.. ill cut you in on 20% of my future sins..

1. Alive - Pearl Jam
2. Hunger Strike - Temple of the Dog (Hitman described it so perfectly)
3. Jesus Christ Pose - Soundgarden
4. Can't Change Me - Chris Cornell
5. Babylon - David Gray
6. What Godzilla Said to God... - American Music Club
7. Creep - Radiohead
8. Glory Box - Portishead
9. Unforgiven - Metallica
10. Mr. Jones - Counting Crows

I limited myself to one song per artist, otherwise there would be more Pearl Jam, Soundgarden and Chris Cornell songs here.

What's so funny 'bout peace, love and understanding?

Oh, Layla, I had to put more than one song per artist. I mean, I HAVE to put Pearl Jam and Soundgarden in another league there. lol

I was thinking I should have put more Temple Of The Dog there.
Maybe that Pushin´ Forward Back song.

Well, I guess it is alright like that.

I have to say this is my 10 fav instead of top 10 of the 90's since I only base my selection on how I feel about the song and there are some Canadian artist that not a lot of ppl know about.

Who will save your soul - Jewel
Orinoco flow - Enya
Layla:unplugged - Eric Clapton
River of dreams - Billy Joel
Fields of gold - Sting
Alone - Bee Gees
Valentine - Martina MacBride and I can't remember the pianist name
Smells like teen spirit - Nirvana
Insensitive - Jan Arden
Fragile - Jesse Cooke
Rise again - Rankin Family

Canadian

Yes, I know there are 11 of them.
