And Snowden could do far worse than Cuba, where he'd be treated as a celebrity - and at least get healthcare.
Yes, Snowden might get health care, but it would be very poor health care. I got the best available in Cuba over a period of 10 years and it was pretty bad. What the regular Cubans get is appalling.
What you have brain-washed yourself into believing is that there is acceptable health care in Cuba for ALL Cubans. Nothing is further from the truth. But you will refuse to accept that because it demolishes your whole argument.
And there is only room for one celebrity in Cuba.
Incidentally, Snowden is a traitor, not a whistle blower. What he accuses the US government of doing is not illegal. It is wrong in his opinion, but that but that does not make him a whistle blower. I could blow the whistle on the Canadian government any day, if it just meant that it does things I don't fully approve of. And of course, if I thought I was wonderful enough to decide for all Canadians what should be allowed.
Snowden has probably been milked of his stolen files by the Chinese, has now been passed off to the Russians where the same thing is probably happening. Next up, Cuba, Venezuela and Ecuador. After that he will probably have no more use to them and will get dumped.
And for all your whining about Harper and the Canadian government, Canada continues to be one of the best governed, most free, most safe countries in the world. I know it. I am living in it.
