Jeff Hanneman passed away

I just can't believe this. Hope it's not true but it comes from Slayer's official facebook, posted 5 minutes ago. He was 49 years old.

Yeah, I did read it.

Rest in peace, Maestro. A great guy isn't with us anymore.

Yes, died of liver failure.

Gone too soon and Slayer at their peak were a fantastic band.

On Nadal bumping him on the changeover, Rosol said: "It's ok, he wanted to take my concentration; I knew he would try something".

Wilander on Dimitrov - "He has mind set on imitating Federer and yes it looks good. But he has no idea what to do on the court".

I didn't
The only time I saw Slayer was last year and Jeff was with the spider-bite thing.
I'll see them again this year...

I told my band to play a Slayer song tomorrow to remember the guy.
Damn, he'll be missed.

Had credits for music and lyrics in all the band's masterpieces.

That was pretty sudden. Shame, he was a great riff writer.

Re: Jeff Hanneman passed away

RIP. Seen him perform with Slayer ever since the early 1980's, 'Rain in Blood'-era, some performances fantastic, even more horrible.

Re: Jeff Hanneman passed away

South of Heaven is his record, and in my opinion the best Slayer record, my favorite anyway, I do think he wrote/performed some of the most haunting and coolest leads/riffs/solos in all of metal/rock/music, of all time and can't deny his huge influence on music, my favorite part of Slayer was his playing, sad.
