Re: The Forum Police are in town

I don't know if this a good thread or a bad one.

If you have an issue with a report/infraction, a user, a moderator or just want to talk, PM me.

I support Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, David Ferrer, Del Potro.

Why? Because I love tennis plain and simple

Re: The Forum Police are in town

My next report has been about: Caesar1844

Used a derogatory and racist term to describe Mexicans. Unacceptable.

Outcome:

Deserved.

You're the opposite of Lenders. I agree with your views on tennis, but your views on moderation are re-enforcing what is wrong. We need to discuss match fixing and doping. That's how it gets fixed, not by assuming innocence of every player (unlikely) and of an organization famous for covering up wrongdoing (naive)

Discussion is fine. Making accusations with absolutely no fact to justify your opinion is unacceptable.

As I said in another post, a huge football forum in the UK was nearly shut down due to posters making libelous remarks about a football manager. The same could happen here.

It's a disgrace to the players involved to allow people to have their ill-informed opinions plastered on a fairly popular website for thousands to see.

As someone in the rule changes thread pointed out and as WMF is pointing out too, unjustified alleging of match-fixing is libeling. Show proves that would stand before a court, then it might be ok, but as long as there is only saying "he's a fixer/doper" without giving proves, this is libeling. And I know 100% that there are players reading the forum.
