Re: A New Pope is elected

Surely should have chosen somebody younger than 76.

That is more than the life expectancy in most countries.

The current greatness league of active players in order of achievements to date (a factual comparison rather than fan biased assessment):

Federer 17 GS, 6 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.
Nadal 14 GS, 27 Master Series, 1 Olympic Gold.
Djokovic 9 GS, 4 Year End Masters, 24 Master Series.

Yeah calling a guy you don't know personally a pedophile just because he's a priest is very classy and extremely funny.

He asked to be called Berlocqlio instead of Bergoglio.

Lighten up, it's a joke. More than 10% of Catholic priests have been accused of pedophilia, so the likelihood of him being an actual pedophile is just 1 in 10.

76 years old. x infinity. Don't they EVER learn?

Having said that, I loved his speech. He seemed like a cool, sweet guy. Good luck.

I know nothing about him. He seemed very meek on the balcony. And he had not been mentioned among the favourites, I think, so he must have been a compromise.

Re: A New Pope is elected

Disgusting decision by the Catholic Church.

There are several reports that this man was heavily involved in the suppression of civil rights during the argentinian dictatorship.
